When I first saw this picture, all I noticed was how fat and ugly I looked — and I hated it.
Then I looked closer and saw something else: the pride and love bursting from my face.
That changed everything. Long after I’m gone, my son will have this photo and he’ll see the love and pride in his mama’s face.
