”Walked out of Winn Dixie tonight in tears and in awe… not only does our grocery store hold special hours just for first responders and healthcare workers… they paid for my entire grocery bill tonight as a way to give back and say thanks… antonio made a comment the other day while doing our budget that we have been spending a lot of $$ on groceries this month… and with 3 kids at home all day and quarantine boredom that leads everyone to eat everything in sight I know that’s true… today was no exception as I was out of meat and protein powder and dog food and paper towels… all the big hitters- so I was checking out at the register and bracing for a big bill (which it was- $283)… and I went to pay but the manager stepped in and said my bill today would be $0. I’m just blown away by the kindness and feel like the true heroes are these workers at the grocery stores who have gone above and beyond to stay stocked and clean and helpful… just so thankful tonight and want to spread the joy… thank you Winn-Dixie ❤️”
