UPDATE: The truck driver who made an illegal U-turn on Florida’s Turnpike that led to the passing of 3 Americans, illegally entered the U.S. through the southern border in 2018.

Harjinder Singh has been charged with three counts of vehicular homicide.

Singh got his Commercial Driver’s License in the state of California, according to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

“Three people lost their lives as a result of his recklessness, and countless friends and family members will experience the pain of their loss forever,” they said.

The driver of the minivan was identified as a 30-year-old Florida City man.

The two passengers were a 37-year-old Pompano Beach woman and a 54-year-old Miami man.
