Trump tells Post ‘tremendous things’ will happen in Middle East next week

President Trump told The Post Thursday morning that “tremendous things” are set to happen next week in the Middle East — as he prepares to travel to the region after brokering a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas in exchange for the release of all hostages.

“Well, it’s been a great period of time for Israel and the Middle East, and I’ll be going there probably on Sunday, Sunday evening,” Trump said in a brief phone conversation just hours after fighting stopped in the two-year war.
