Today, something surprising happened at my favorite Aldi store! As I walked in, I greeted the manager and noticed he was putting a lot of bananas into a cart. They looked fine, with only a few spots here and there. When I asked what he planned to do with them, he said they were going to be thrown away. 🍌 🍎
I was shocked to hear that all those bananas would just be tossed! I quickly called my local food pantry and arranged for them to pick up the bananas. I couldn’t believe a full cart of perfectly good fruit was about to be wasted! 🍌 🛒
It made me wonder why grocery stores don’t already have a system to donate food like this to nearby food pantries. 🥭 🍐 🍓
