Today I watched two different perspectives in the Target parking lot. A mom with three littles ones rushing to put the babies in their seats and then the groceries in the back. You could see she was visibly flustered and in a hurry to get out of there. Then I saw a grandma, with her 3 young grand kids. She puts them in the back, unloads some juice boxes from her bags and sits there laughing with them while they drank their juices. No rush at all.
In the moment, as a mom with young kids, we are in such survival mode, it feels like it’s always a rush, rush, go, go kind of world! Then we blink and they are grown. Then one day we will become grandmas and remember how fast those moments went, and we will sit and live in them a little longer…
