“Today, I had a change of heart. I went to court for shoplifting food from Walmart almost a year ago. Logan and I were really struggling and didn’t know what to do. When I got my paperwork to leave the court, an officer asked me to wait for her outside. I followed her, and we ended up at Winn-Dixie grocery store. She told me to grab a cart, and we went shopping together. Officer Katrina spent $139 on food for me, Logan, and Skylar. I told her she didn’t have to do that, but she shared her own struggles and how she got through them. This world can be tough, but there are still people out there making a difference.
