“To the person who left a dollar (on purpose) at The Dollar Tree…
We were at the dollar store picking up party favors for my soon to be 4-year-old’s birthday. That’s when Gage looked down on a lower shelf and said, ‘Look mom! I found a dollar!’ I immediately told him we needed to turn it in, but when he handed it to me, there was a note attached that read: ‘Please enjoy this random act of kindness 🙂 ” He was surprised and so was I! But this is why I’m sharing this. I want to thank that person for the priceless learning experience. Gage and I talked in the aisle about how that was so nice and how it made his day. But then we talked about what fun it would be to make someone else’s day and to bring a smile to someone else. He thought cookies would make someone happy. So we took that dollar, added a few more, and bought some cookies which we randomly delivered (rang the doorbell and ran!). So thank you for that dollar! It wasn’t ours to keep, but it sure brought some smiles (and a lesson for a 4 year old that can’t be taught by just words).”
