This young man’s name is Anthony, and he works at the Piggly Wiggly on 78.

On Wednesday after work, I stopped by to pick up a few things. Before leaving, I pushed my buggy back into the cart port outside and then headed home. Later that night, around 9:30 p.m., I realized I couldn’t find my phone. I also noticed my wristlet was missing—the one that carried my money.

Panic set in because that morning Shelisa had given me $200 cash to get our tags, and I had over $70 of my own inside, including $10 in quarters. My phone and everything important were in that wristlet.

I retraced my steps and realized the only place I had been was Piggly Wiggly. I called the store, and sure enough, both my wristlet and my phone were there waiting for me. What shocked me most was that all the money was still inside—every single dollar and coin.

When I asked who had turned it in, the manager said it was Anthony.

Anthony is a teenager at Central Park Christian, and this photo below is him. Today I went back to bless him with $100, and I also called his mom Joyce to tell her what an incredible job she has done raising him. His mom cried tears of joy when she heard.

We don’t hear enough about kids doing the right thing, but today I want to celebrate Anthony. In a world where we hear so much bad, this young man chose honesty. And that deserves to be shared. 🙌❤️
