“This photo is of a teacher at Southern Lehigh High School, Mrs. Imms, and her husband. Mrs. Imms was 1 of 11 teachers, only female, to agree to shave her head if the school raised $4,000. Well, they succeeded. Her husband surprised her at the school with flowers and said, ‘I’m not letting you do this alone.’ At this very moment, the entire school came together in unity, there was not a dry eye in the crowd. It was this moment, everyone realized why they did what they did. We will find a cure for blood cancers and it is because of remarkable people, like the staff and students at Southern Lehigh High School, who will help make it possible.”
