This is the second year my daughter’s father stood her up for the Daddy/Daughter dance. She cried because she had her heart set on going, and my heart broke knowing there was nothing I could do—I’m not a male, and this was supposed to be a “dad” moment.

But then her big brother stepped in. He told her he’d take her because he wanted her to know she deserves a man who keeps his word and makes her feel special. Y’all, I literally cried. 💕

I’m so proud—I know I’m raising someone who’s going to make an amazing husband one day.

And a huge shoutout to Auntie Delia Malcom for slaying my baby’s hair and making her shine even brighter! ✨
