The Moment Everyone Was Wrong

Welcome To Plathville’s biggest conflict finally came to a head as Veronica Peters and the Plath family went toe to toe, but in a moment where everyone was sure they were right, they couldn’t have been more wrong. Throughout Welcome To Plathville season 7, viewers have watched as things between Micah Plath and his girlfriend have rippled out to reach the rest of his family.

As Welcome To Plathville season 7 has continued, Micah’s relationship has been a huge topic of conversation. While Veronica was a big part of the Welcome To Plathville season 6, the positive energy surrounding her introduction was short-lived. Veronica connected with Micah’s father, Barry Plath, because of their mutual dislike for Ethan Plath’s ex-wife Olivia Plath, but sentiments changed quickly.

Although Veronica was hopeful she’d be able to mend things with the Plaths as a whole, her time with the family hasn’t been productive throughout the season. Instead, Veronica’s been making it clear that she doesn’t have much interest in softening herself for a family who doesn’t respect her. In turn, the Plaths aren’t happy with Veronica calling them out for their behavior, either.

Veronica & The Plaths All Dropped The Niceties

After Micah Was Attacked, The Plaths Blamed Veronica

As Welcome To Plathville has continued this season, it’s become clear that Lydia Plath’s wedding was going to be the sight of some massive family drama. Lydia, who married Zac Wyse in the last episode of the series, made it clear that she wasn’t interested in dealing with her brothers’ issues, especially surrounding her relationship. Unfortunately, Micah and Veronica had problems of their own.

During the most recent episode, after Veronica ignored the rest of the Plaths throughout the wedding and made comments about the other Plath brothers’ girlfriends, Isaac Plath got violent with his brother in retaliation. While Isaac’s behavior was a self-described mistake, the family didn’t blame their son for attacking his brother. Instead, they took it as a sign Veronica was the problem.

During a difficult confrontation, the majority of the Plath family sat down to talk with Veronica about her behavior. While she was looking for a discussion about what had happened to Micah, the rest of the Plaths were looking to place blame on Veronica for being difficult. Instead of having a productive discussion, viewers saw an intense confrontation between the group.

No One Was Right In This Welcome To Plathville Confrontation

Everyone Was Looking At It From The Wrong Vantage Point

Although Veronica felt she wasn’t the issue from the start, she was coming to the table with blame for Micah’s family where it didn’t belong. Believing she was right to point out that Ethan’s girlfriend had been accused of having an OnlyFans, Veronica wasn’t coming from a productive place in the confrontation. Unfortunately, the Plaths weren’t coming from the right place, either.

The Plath family spent the entire confrontation blaming Veronica for her behavior driving them apart when that’s something far beyond her control. Despite knowing that Micah has a mind of his own and chose to distance himself from his family the same way Ethan did, the Plaths took their frustrations out on Veronica. None of the Welcome To Plathville cast were in the right.

Welcome To Plathville airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on TLC.
