On the night of October 11, 1973, Charles Hickson (42) and Calvin Parker (19) were fishing on the Pascagoula River in Mississippi when they heard a strange whirring sound. Blue lights flashed, and an oval-shaped craft descended nearby.

Both men said they suddenly became paralyzed but remained fully aware as three strange creatures with carrot-shaped faces and claw-like hands floated them aboard. Inside, they reported a medical-style examination before being released.

When they told the police, suspicion was immediate. The sheriff assumed it was a hoax. To test them, officers left the two men alone in an interview room with a hidden tape recorder.

What the tape captured stunned everyone.

It revealed Hickson and Parker speaking in hushed, panicked tones, reliving the encounter. They weren’t putting on a show — they believed they were alone, and their fear was genuine.

The Pascagoula Abduction remains one of the most chilling and debated UFO encounters of the 20th century.
