Hi everyone,
Time for the August update from Lumiere Cat Shelter.
For those who don’t know me, my name is Adam Lebzo. I featured on a number of spin-offs of 90 Day Fiancé, debuting in The Other Way Season 2 as the translator for both Brittany and Yazan. The kind people here on the subreddit discovered back in 2020 that I run a cat shelter in Jordan called Lumiere Cat Shelter, and ever since then, they’ve been supporting me and kindly asked me to share monthly updates. I’ve been doing so every month ever since.
Now, onto this month’s Kitty Update:
Do you remember the three kittens we’ve been talking about for the past few months? As I informed you in the last update, one of them was adopted earlier, and now we are so happy to share that the two brothers have also found loving homes!
Starting with Gibson (the orange one), who was adopted into a family where he now has a big brother named Kuvo. Believe it or not, Kuvo was rescued by Lumiere Cat Shelter back in June 2017 (See the oldie adoption picture). For years he was the only cat in his home, but this August his human mom decided it was time to give him a companion, and that’s when Gibson joined. The two are already bonding beautifully, and Kuvo, after so many years alone, is finally enjoying life with his new friend.
Fender, Gibson’s brother, also found a forever home last week. His new family just sent us photos of him with one of the girls in the household, and he’s doing fantastic (the rest of the photos are from when he was with us).
Alongside these joyful updates, we also want to share one of the harder parts of rescue. We are currently caring for a 15-year-old abandoned cat with struggling kidneys and severe weight loss. His doing his best to hang on, and we’re doing everything we can to make his days comfortable, dignified, and filled with love.
Rescue work is always a mix of happiness and heartbreak. Yes, we save lives, but sometimes we lose them too, no matter what we do. And none of this would be possible without the kindness and support of this community.
Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of this journey with us.
