Kids ain’t kids no more, and we all know it.
So when you see a kid actually being a kid these days?
Let them.
Playing basketball in the neighborhood streets?
Don’t complain.
Slow down, let them move to the side, and smile.
Neighborhoods don’t come together like that anymore.
Don’t ruin the few that still do.
Riding bikes? ATVs? Dirt bikes?
Up and down the roads, sidewalks, or through the woods?
Let them.
Don’t be the one calling in a noise complaint.
Don’t be the one who ruins what’s left of childhood.
Because kids today are reaching for things that kill them.
So when you see a kid just being loud, wild, and alive?
Smile.
Be grateful.
And let them be kids, for as long as they can.
