I’ve got a little story for you—it starts good, takes a rough turn, but ends even better.

This is Rick. For the past couple of years, he’s been mowing lawns around Chickasha, OK, completely free of charge, for people who can’t do it themselves. Last year, he mowed 274 lawns. This year, he was close to hitting 300.

Then, a few days ago, someone stole his mower.

But here’s the good news: with the help of some generous people, a brand-new mower was purchased and delivered to Rick today. He was overwhelmed with gratitude.

Rick is a veteran living on a fixed income, so replacing the mower himself wasn’t possible. Yet, despite his own challenges, he’s been showing up for others—one of them being a 97-year-old veteran of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.

Rick doesn’t ask for money. His only “payment” is the joy of helping others—and sometimes a cold glass of lemonade on a hot day.

Bless you, Rick, for your service and for your heart. The world needs more people like you. ❤️
