I’m a school bus driver, and I want to share a story about a sixth grader.
He mentioned his elderly neighbor hadn’t been outside in a while. I talked about the challenges seniors face living alone.
Then, on Tuesday, he wasn’t at his stop. I saw him shoveling her porch. I waited, since I was early.
The other kids asked why, and I said,
“Anyone helping someone deserves a few extra minutes.” ❤️
What happened next was amazing. The kids started asking about his neighbor, and the next day… seven kids brought blankets, food, and cards for her.
I delivered their gifts. Now, she stands on her porch every morning, and the whole bus waves. 👋🏼✨
I’m so proud of that boy. He didn’t just help a neighbor… he showed the whole bus how to be kind.
Every day, I drive with a smile because of these wonderful kids. 🚌💖
