Giancarlo Stanton comes up empty in clutch spot as rough postseason continues

Heroes and zeros from the Yankees’ 10-1 loss to the Blue Jays in Game 1 of the ALDS at Rogers Centre on Saturday:

Hero

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is winless in the postseason no longer.

The Blue Jays slugger, whose distaste for the Yankees has been well documented, began a big day by blasting a home run, added a single and a sacrifice fly and made a diving grab to begin a double play.

Zero

The Yankees lost primarily because they did not score enough.

Giancarlo Stanton, who is hitting .067 in the postseason, struck out to leave the bases loaded in the sixth.
