Jimmy Rollins left his American Century Championship round Saturday with a boat after his first-ever hole-in-one.
Rollins, the former longtime Phillies shortstop, sank a shot on the 12th hole Saturday at Edgewood Tahoe Resort, and he celebrated by jumping into NFL wide receiver Davante Adams’ arms with a Mastercraft boat — Rollins’ was valued at approximately $325,000, according to the Daily Mail — on display in the background.
“Trying to catch my breath,” Rollins said on the broadcast. “Was the third hole, so I started on the back [nine], and I just got my first hole-in-one and won a boat.”

Rollins’ shot on the 139-yard hole landed behind the hole, spun back toward it and then rolled into the cup, and after realizing that it turned into a hole-in-one, Rollins put an arm in the air, dropped his club and jumped into Adams’ arms.
It marked the third consecutive year with a hole-in-one at the event, the broadcast reported.
He proceeded to stand on the boat with his arms stretched wide, while also posing for pictures in the water, too.

“American Century Championship, oh man, this is beautiful,” Rollins said on the broadcast.
Despite the hole-in-one, Rollins entered the final round Sunday tied for 45th and well behind co-leaders Joe Pavelski and Taylor Twellman — former hockey and soccer players, respectively.
“I don’t know what to say, actually,” Pavelski said after winning, according to the Associated Press. “But just an amazing week. This place is incredible. It means the world to me.”
Rollins spent the first 15 years of his MLB career with the Phillies, making three All-Star Games and helping them win the 2008 World Series before advancing back to that stage the following year.
He spent one season with the Dodgers in 2015 and another with the White Sox in 2016 before retiring.
