During a film shoot, there was a little goat on set. The owner told us to hurry and finish the scene because on Sunday he planned to cook it for his nephew’s communion.
I couldn’t bear the thought. So I bought the goat, tied a rope around it, and took it with me to my hotel room. Imagine the scene—walking a goat into a five-star hotel!
That day changed everything. I decided to leave the cinema behind and dedicate my life to helping animals. It was June 1973, and I was 38 years old. 🐐❤️🐾
