Clarenton “Nicky” Crawford helps people who have no place to live. Nicky is retired and lives in Atlanta, Georgia. After working hard his whole life, Nicky decided his time and money to give back. Students at Georgia Tech helped him turn a school bus into a laundry bus with machines just for them.
Every week, Nicky shows up for the people who need him most. When people wash their clothes and take a warm shower, Nicky sees something incredible happen. Their faces light up and they feel proud again. Some even get a hot meal and a fresh change of clothes.
Nicky started his nonprofit “Flowing with Blessings” in 2021, and he doesn’t take any money from it. He’s using his bus to reach people others forget. Nicky said, “Other than the grace of God, this could be me.” He also said he doesn’t do it to be a hero. He just wants everyone to have a clean load of laundry, a warm shower, and a chance to feel like they matter.
