Back in January, I snapped this photo of my wife in her uniform. She was about to walk in and take her Chief Petty Officer exam.

What you don’t see in this picture…
is that she was in the middle of chemo treatments.
That she was carrying the weight of fatigue, nausea, and chemo brain.
That every single step took more strength than she even had to give.

Yet she showed up anyway. She stood tall. She chased her dream.

When she got home, I asked how it went.
She just smiled and said, “I prayed my way through it. Whatever happens is meant to be.”

And today… the Navy released the results.
She made Chief.

For anyone who doesn’t know, becoming a Chief is one of the biggest milestones in a Navy career. But knowing the battles she’s fought to get here? This feels less like a promotion and more like a miracle.

She faced cancer head-on. She faced her career head-on. And she never quit.

She is the definition of courage, grit, and resilience.

Congratulations, Chief Select. I’ve never been prouder to be your husband. And I love you more than words will ever be able to say. 💛
