At the rodeo, I saw an older woman having trouble getting to her seat with her family. Before I could even mention it to my husband, Thomas, he was already assisting her down the steps.
When it was over, getting back up was even harder for her. Without a second thought, Thomas picked her up and carried her through the crowd, all the way to the top.
Her daughter was moved to tears, the granddaughters were in awe, and I thought, That’s my husband.
Kindness still exists—and sometimes, it’s right next to you.
