Jesse Solomon and Lexi Wood’s fast-tracked romance on Summer House has all the hallmarks of a completely misguided romance: they have poor communication, want different things, and have different standards for how one should behave in a relationship. Still, these two crazy kids have chemistry, and they’re trying to make it work on Summer House season 9, much to the bemusement of their castmates.
As of episode 12, there was trouble in paradise for our star-crossed lovers, but are they still together today?
Summer House generally films in the summer, of course, so season 9 was shot from July through September of 2024. Jesse and Lexi’s relationship has been under a microscope, and fans want to know whether they’re still together today. Were they able to overcome the serious issues they faced, or was their relationship just another summer fling?
Lexi & Jesse’s Journey Together On Summer House Season 9
Lexi & Jesse Had Instant Chemistry
It’s Jesse’s second season on Summer House, but Lexi’s first, so compared to her, Jesse is a bit of a reality TV veteran. He’s affable and likable, and last season, he had a great edit compared to his fellow first-timer, West Wilson. Jesse, 31, initially came across as a standard single guy living in the city, but when he revealed that he was a cancer survivor, it gave him a depth that viewers instantly took to and rooted for.
At 27, Lexi is a bit younger than the rest of the cast, and her introduction was a breath of fresh air for the long-running show. From the moment Lexi entered the house, Jesse honed in on her. He was immediately taken with the model, and she reciprocated his advances.
Within days, the two were attached at the hip, causing Jesse’s castmates to tease him for taking the relationship so fast when he normally avoided any type of commitment.
By episode 2, Jesse “joked” that he was in love with Lexi. He seemed infatuated with Lexi, and she liked that he was head over heels so fast. When Lexi explained she doesn’t sleep with men she isn’t in a committed relationship with, Jesse moved even faster, introducing her to his parents and trying to make it exclusive.
But as the days (literally, just a few days) passed, Jesse seemed to get scared. He’s always been a fun-loving, gregarious, flirtatious guy, but Lexi seemed uncomfortable with how comfortable Jesse was, especially with his female housemates and particularly with Ciara Miller. When Lexi skipped a weekend at the house to be with her family in Canada, Jesse let loose, turning on the charm with Ciara and getting into some trouble that would become known as “toe-gate.”
Lexi Called Jesse Out For Toe-Gate & For Flirting With Ciara Miller
The Girls Told Lexi About Jesse’s Inappropriate Behavior
After Jesse’s wild weekend, in which he flirted shamelessly with Ciara and got his toe sucked during a sexual encounter between his housemate, Imrul Hassan, and some of Imrul’s lady friends, Jesse neglected to share any of this with Lexi. Instead, he and Lexi decided to be exclusive and even took it to another level by being intimate. Imagine Lexi’s surprise when, during a kickball game with the rest of the house, Lexi is told about Jesse’s toe-sucking adventure, aka “toe-gate.”
Lexi was understandably upset. Jesse kept claiming he didn’t think it was a big deal. The women in the house, including Gabby Prescod, Paige DeSorbo, Amanda Batula, and Lindsay Hubbard, told Lexi that not only did Jesse get his toe sucked, but he was also inappropriate with Ciara. Ciara, who spent much of season 8 entangled with Jesse’s best bud, West, was flirting with Jesse because Jesse has always been a flirt.
Lexi simply has standards for her relationships, and Jesse was failing to meet them.
Plus, he and Lexi’s relationship was new and moving fast, the others didn’t take it very seriously. When Lexi expressed to Jesse that his flirting with Ciara and being very open with all the other women in the house made her uncomfortable, Jesse relayed the information back to the house, making it seem like Lexi was irrational and jealous. Jesse was playing the part of a guy in a relationship by calling Lexi constantly and taking her on dates, but he was going through the motions, in my opinion. He’s not ready for what an actual healthy relationship would require of him.
Lexi & Jesse Are No Longer Together
Lexi Said Relationship With Jesse Was “Isolating”
By the end of episode 12, Lexi and Jesse aren’t speaking, and she tells him that she doesn’t want to be exclusive with him anymore. Lexi was hurt by the light that Jesse was painting her in with the rest of the housemates, and she felt like it was driving a wedge between her and them. This caused her to start seeing her relationship with Jesse more clearly and led her to decide that she didn’t want to be with him.

Should Summer House revamp its cast like Vanderpump Rules is?
After Vanderpump Rules season 12 was renewed with the stipulation of an all new cast coming in to replace the somewhat tired original cast, I started thinking about the idea of doing that for other shows. While I enjoyed Summer House season 9, I think it may be time for a lot of the cast members to move onto something else, especially the men on the show. I’d love the see the show revamped with some new cast, while some of the old like Paige DeSorbo return for another summer.
The episode ended with the two trying to figure out whether their relationship was worth another go. However, we know the two are not currently together today. Lexi gave an interview to Glamour in which she described her relationship with Jesse as “isolating.”
“A lot happened in two months. Like damn, that’s the worst relationship I’ve ever been in.”
There’s no love lost between Jesse and Lexi. She doesn’t currently follow Jesse on Instagram, though Jesse does follow her. Jesse follows lots of women on social media (another sticking point for Lexi), so that tracks. Additionally, Lexi told Glamour she’s looking forward to the reunion, so she can clear up some more misconceptions about their relationship on Summer House.
Summer House airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
