American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, were found murdered in their home.
According to People, Robin and Tom were found in separate rooms of their house, both with gunshot wounds to the head. They were pronounced dead at the scene by first responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to People that 22-year-old Encino resident Raymond Boodarian has been arrested in connection with the murders. It is believed that Robin and Thomas walked in on the suspect inside their house and then had a deadly confrontation.
Authorities stated, “The victims returned home while the suspect had gained entry into the residence, and a confrontation ensued, which resulted in the suspect taking their lives. The victims succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, and the suspect fled from the residence on foot.”
After a concerned person reported that they hadn’t heard from Robin and Thomas, a welfare check was conducted on July 14 at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the couple’s home, and they were found dead. On July 10, police had responded to a possible burglary at the same address around 4:00 p.m. Investigators are still working to determine if the suspect was involved in that incident as well.
Police stated that there is currently no known connection between Robin and Thomas and the suspect. The murders appear to be random. The case remains an active investigation.
