Alex the Great, a Flemish Giant bunny, was rescued from a meat farm in Modesto, CA. Weighing 16 pounds, he’s larger than most house cats. But that didn’t stop Josh Row, 45, from adopting him. soon discovered Alex wasn’t an ordinary rabbit.

Row quickly realized Alex had a special personality when the rabbit confidently explored Las Vegas streets during a trip.
+
After a vet suggested Alex could be a therapy animal, he received training and has since become an Instagram star.
+
Alex is famous for riding a children’s toy Mercedes that Row modified specifically for him. Though Row sometimes uses a remote control to limit how far Alex drives, the rabbit can navigate independently.

The gentle giant now visits patients and staff regularly, bringing comfort during difficult times. Hospital staff say his visits provide a welcome distraction for patients undergoing treatment and boost morale among healthcare workers.
