I had a wonderful encounter with a homeless man on Saturday morning:
I was loading my truck to move f from Charleston SC to Wichita Ks As I was carrying my last load of stuff to the truck he was sitting by my trailer and asked me “ can I PLEASE help you load, I just ask for enough money to get Breakfast?”
I told him this is my last load but come talk to me as I finish fitting it into the truck.
I rarely have cash on me. But in the basket I was carrying, was the bank I throw pocket change and any dollar bills into. As I was pulling the Bills out of the jar, we talked about my job my home, and he reminded me how blessed I’m. I handed him about $12 and said I wish it were more.
He then told me a hobby he has is writing songs and he wanted to sing one of his songs for me. ( I wish I had had my phone, I would have recorded it ) The song talked about caring for a homeless man, may seem like a small thing to you, but all he could see was Jesus. It was so beautiful.
Before we parted ways we held hands and I prayed for him and said the Blessing from Numbers 6:24 over him. We both had tears in our eyes as he left.
His last words to me were “ l don’t have to get fast food, I have enough to get some bread and meat for several sandwiches. God Bless you ma’am.”
Sometimes we just need to slow down and listen to one of Gods children, you will both be blessed. Don’t miss that kind of Blessing Friends!!..
