I just rewatched the documentary on LuLaRoe, and Meri falling prey whilst also being successful at LLR makes so much sense. While the company promoted the “Girl Boss” farce, the Mormons who ran it also made sure the women who were mid “obey” their husbands. So weird for any “workforce” training including some reinforcement of gender norms and “keeping sweet,” but I suppose none of this should be surprising.
Also: it looks like Meri is selling wORtHy uP merch via her old LuLaRoe site. That’s a smart move.
