In New South Wales, Australia, Tyson Crawley filled his truck with $110 of gas before realizing he couldn’t pay. He had just switched bank accounts and forgotten his new PIN. Stressed and unsure of what to do, he stood at the counter trying to explain.
That’s when a stranger quietly stepped forward. Without hesitation, he swiped his own card and covered the entire bill. Tyson asked for his name and number to pay him back, but instead, the man handed him the receipt with a note that simply read, “Pass it on.”
The stranger was later identified as John Kennedy Jr., an ice hockey player known for his character on and off the ice. Tyson said he was overwhelmed by the kindness and decided to continue the chain. A few days later, he returned to the same station and paid for someone else’s fuel, leaving the same note behind.
A simple act became a reminder that generosity can ripple outward, inspiring others to do the same.
