“This morning, I took my teething baby to Cafe Republic in Fort Worth, hoping a pancake might soothe him. Instead, he was fussy, climbing everywhere, and I felt so anxious about disturbing others. I decided to ask for the check and leave without even touching my food.
That’s when our server came over and surprised me. She didn’t just offer to help box up my meal—she asked if she could hold my baby so I could actually eat. ‘Eat, mama. I know you probably never get the chance to. I’ve been there!’
He melted in her arms instantly, and for the first time that morning, I got to eat in peace.
It may seem small, but it meant the world. Servers are incredible. Moms are incredible. And truly—it takes a village. 💕”
