Honestly, it was so nice seeing Rob‘s loyal and empathetic side. Tiffany isn’t someone he’s necessarily interested in romantically, but he still felt the need to defend her because of their friendship. It was just very genuine because it’s not like he’s trying to get into her pants, they’ve just developed a friendship over the course of the show, and it was nice to see him stand up for his girl although Rob has his faults, I can tell he’s a very loyal friend and seems to be fiercely protective of those he cares about.
