This past week was one of the hardest. Six times, officers came to our home because of my son’s meltdowns. I braced myself for judgment — but what I saw instead was compassion.
One day, they even went out, bought a blue shirt, and colored it with markers to look like Joe’s from Blue’s Clues — just to calm my son’s heart.
It wasn’t perfect, but it was powerful. Proof that kindness doesn’t need to be big — just genuine.
