Eloise was such a little warrior yesterday during her MRI. She hadn’t eaten since midnight, yet she handled it with such strength and even woke up afterward in good spirits, before sleepiness finally caught up to her.

The results, however, weren’t what we had hoped for. The MRI showed that her tumor has grown, which explains the new symptoms we’ve been seeing. There’s also a larger pocket of fluid near her shunt site. It’s hard not to feel discouraged, but we’re holding onto hope.

Her doctor shared that the current chemotherapy (carboplatin/vincristine) is no longer working, so we’ll be moving on to other options. The good news is he has several treatments in mind, and Eloise’s case will be presented to the Tumor Board this week so a whole team of specialists can decide on the best next step.

She’ll also be scheduled for Botox shots soon, which should help certain muscle groups. Later this week, I’ll have a Zoom call with her neurosurgeon to go over the MRI in detail.

If you pray, or if you simply believe in sending love and good energy, please keep Eloise in your thoughts—that the next treatment plan will bring stability and healing. 💜

Here’s a photo of our sweet girl resting peacefully as the sedation wore off.
