WOW. Something amazing just happened to me, and I have to share it.
At the gate, I learned about American Airlines’ new policy—charging for carry-on bags. I consolidated into one, but it measured just slightly too big. The agent told me it would cost $50, but they only accepted credit cards.
Since I had just returned from Europe, all my cards were being declined, and Chase hadn’t cleared them yet. The agent said I’d have to miss my flight and go back to the ticket counter to pay. After a long day of travel, I was exhausted, pleading, and heartbroken.
And then—out of nowhere—a man walked up and asked, “How much is it?”
When they told him $50, he simply said, “I got it.”
Shocked, I tried to stop him, but he handed over his card without hesitation. The employees just stood there in silence, stunned by his generosity. As I boarded the flight, tears ran down my face.
I stopped by his seat in first class to offer him money, but he smiled, shook his head, and simply told me: “Pay it forward.”
My heart is so full. There are truly good people in this world. Let’s all try to be that person for someone else. 💕
Update: That kind stranger? NFL player Jermaine Gresham. 🙌
