“All he ever wanted… was a chance.

They said Jake Pratt from Vestavia Hills would never contribute.
They said he’d never make his high school football team.
Never graduate.
Never get his driver’s permit.
Never go to college.

But Jake had other plans.

And today… this 21-year-old with Down syndrome is proving them ALL wrong.

Jake just landed a job at UPS — working up to 8 hours a day, dropping packages on our doorsteps with the BIGGEST smile.
He walks 15,000 steps a day like it’s nothing.
And when he’s done?
He heads to his other job — working maintenance at a golf course every morning from 6 to 10 a.m.
That giant backpack blower? Piece of cake.

He packs his lunch the night before.
Lays out his clothes.
Goes to bed early.
Gets up ready to conquer the day — and shatter expectations.

Jake is now officially:
Jake from UPS.

He’s showing the world exactly what’s possible when someone is simply given… a chance.

If you see Jake out on his route, give him a wave, a smile, or a cheer. Because trust me — once you meet Jake from UPS, you’ll never forget him.”
