Scientists at the University of Nottingham have developed a bacteria-killing coating used in trials of a new antimicrobial paint. This innovative paint effectively kills tough pathogens like MRSA, flu, and COVID-19 when applied to various surfaces.

The team collaborated with Indestructible Paint to create a prototype using chlorhexidine, a common dental disinfectant.

The paint activates upon drying and doesn’t leach from surfaces when touched, making it ideal for hospitals, public spaces, and transportation where bacteria can survive for months.
