This is a huge thank you to Corey at the McDonalds in Florence off Exit 42 on Dixie Highway. Last night around 11:59 p.m. I pulled in after working from 5 a.m. until midnight. I still had an hour drive home and knew without coffee I might not make it safely.
When I pulled up to the drive thru I asked what time they closed. Corey said, “Ma’am, we close in 45 seconds.” I told him not to worry about it, that I didn’t want to bother anyone at the last minute. But he quickly replied, “No ma’am, I’m here to help you with anything you want on the menu. What would you like?”
After going back and forth I placed my Mocha Latte order. Corey was so polite and kind. In the past I’ve been told “the machine is down” or have been ignored when showing up even ten minutes before closing. Corey was different. His customer service was excellent and his kindness truly stood out.
I told him he probably saved my life by letting me get that coffee. I laughed when I said it but in all honesty I was serious. I was that tired. Corey ended my very long day with a simple act of kindness that meant the world to me. I will absolutely be calling to report this to corporate and to his manager.
Thank you Corey. You turned a late night into a safe one.
