Donald Trump seen Sunday after strange speculation about his health
President Trump was spotted leaving the White House Sunday morning in golf gear before rolling to his country club in Northern Virginia.
Trump, 79, was sporting golf shoes, black pants and a black pullover, as he hopped in a black SUV on a beautiful morning in Washington. He was also wearing a white “USA” hat.
The president’s motorcade arrived at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Va., just after 10 a.m.
“Great playing Golf with Jon Gruden — A really nice guy, and true character!” Trump wrote on Truth Social, including a photograph of him and the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach and football commentator on the golf course.
It’s unclear if the photograph of the president playing golf with Gruden was from Sunday.
Trump took a brief hiatus from public appearances this week, sparking bizarre and morbid theories on social media speculating he had died or was seriously ill.
The liberal rumormill began on Friday, when the White House released a blank schedule with no public events for the president during Labor Day weekend.
When the schedule came out, it had been four days since Trump’s last public appearance, a Tuesday cabinet meeting at the White House
“#TrumpIsDead” and “#WhereIsTrump” hashtags flooded X amid the president’s absence and empty public schedule. He was previously seen going to golf at his club on Saturday — accompanied by his granddaughter Kai.
