My beloved Bugsy passed away on June 23, 2022, at 5:10 pm. He had bravely fought cancer for a year and a half with alternative treatments and chemotherapy. He endured so much for me, a true fighter. I’m heartbroken, to say the least. His condition deteriorated rapidly, and I had to make the selfless decision to do what was best for my amazing companion. His eyes told me it was time. I was incredibly lucky to have him as my furry son for 14.5 years! I’m completely lost without him. He went everywhere with me, as you’ve seen in my posts. I always felt safe with him. I’m exhausted! I’m going to Pennsylvania tonight for the first time without him, and I know I’ll be inconsolable. He was always by my side, sleeping in my bed, and we even got him stairs in his older years. I had a feeling the last time in PA was going to be his last. I’m very sad, but I know others are suffering more. That doesn’t lessen my pain. He fought hard and is finally at peace. I held him as he passed, surrounded by my family and love. My wonderful vet came to my home to allow him to pass peacefully in his bed. My beautiful Bugsy deserved that, and I wanted his last moments to be in his most comfortable place. I hope you all experience the same love from a wonderful companion as I did. Bugsy, I will always love you and please send me a sign. My memories of you will never fade, and my life will never be the same. Thank you all for your support during this difficult time.
