Celebrity Wheel of Fortune season 5 premieres on April 30, 2025, and fans might be surprised to hear who’s hosting the show when it returns. Celebrity Wheel of Fortune first premiered in January 2021, hosted by Pat Sajak and Vanna White. Ryan Seacrest now hosts the original version of Wheel of Fortune. He took over for Pat after he retired from the series in 2024 after hosting it since 1981.
Each episode of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune season 5 features three stars playing two separate and complete games. It’s the same as the regular Wheel of Fortune, except for three changes: a bonus cash prize is awarded in every round; there are four million-dollar wedges; and the bonus round features four $100,000 spaces on the wheel, with a minimum of $25,000. If a player goes to the bonus round with a million-dollar wedge, then it replaces one of the $100,000 spaces. For Celebrity Wheel of Fortune season 5, Pat will serve as the host, and not Ryan. Vanna will also return. In an Instagram post, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune referred to the season as “Pat’s Final Spin” because he’ll officially retire from the Wheel of Fortune franchise after this season. Ryan will continue to host the original Wheel of Fortune episodes.

Several A-List Stars Will Spin The Wheel
Celebrity Wheel of Fortune season 5 features several A-list stars, including Cameron Brink, Jessica Capshaw, Josh Gad, Tiffany Haddish, Pete Holmes, Regina Hall, Rachael Harris, Ellie Kemper, Justin Long, Joe Manganiello, Katharine McPhee, Oscar Nuñez, Randall Park, Andrew Rannells, Sam Richardson, Dulcé Sloan, Matt Walsh, and Rainn Wilson. The season began in December 2024 with a special episode that featured Dionne Warwick, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Jon.
In an Instagram post, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune previewed the season, which Vanna teased features, “Big names, big laughs, and big wins for charity.“ The teaser showed Joe, Randall, and Sam, holding the million-dollar wedge from the wheel. Dulcé shouted, “Spin that wheel!,” while Josh gushed that he’s on the stage with “two legends,” Pat and Vanna. At the end of the preview, Rainn announced, “I’m gonna take the elevator to victory!”
Celebrity Wheel of Fortune season 5 is certain to be an exciting ride. While it’ll be bittersweet to watch because it’s Pat’s final season with the Wheel of Fortune franchise, it’ll be wonderful to see him back on the set. Although Ryan has been doing a fantastic job with the original version of the show, Pat will bring his special magic to Celebrity Wheel of Fortune season 5.
