Big Brother 27’s Amy Bingham Reveals Her True Feelings About Rachel Reilly & What She Really Thought About That Shocking 13-0 Vote

Big Brother 27 houseguest Amy Bingham was evicted by a unanimous vote of 13 to 0 over Will Williams after a whirlwind two weeks of gameplay that revealed her as the Mastermind’s Accomplice to viewers and during which she was on the chopping block twice. Amy, a 43-year-old insurance agent from Stockton, California, wasn’t an official Big Brother 27 houseguest when the show began.

Instead, Amy had to earn her spot as the 17th houseguest by completing tasks for the Mastermind as the Accomplice, and keeping her identity a secret. Amy succeeded, and entered the Big Brother 27 game. However, her friendship and alliance with returning Big Brother 13 winner Rachel Reilly put a target on her back.

During Big Brother 27 week 1, Head of Household (HOH) Vince Panaro nominated Amy for eviction after she cried when he told her that he’d be nominating Ashley Hollis for eviction after Ashley angered the house by taking a two-hour shower in Vince’s HOH bathroom before he had the chance to use it. This scandal was called Showergate.

However, Amy survived the chopping block by a vote of 9 to 5 over Zae Frederich. Amy was very clear about who her allies were, and called people who worked against her “weenies” in the Diary Room.

The following week, after Keanu Soto used the Power of Veto to save himself from the chopping block, HOH Jimmy Heagerty nominated Amy in his place. Her fellow houseguests figured that they could evict her to weaken her ally, Rachel, and so she was eliminated from the game. On the following day, she made an appearance on Big Brother: Unlocked, the new behind-the-scenes series hosted by winners Derrick Levasseur and Taylor Hale.

In an interview with ScreenRant, Amy revealed more about her friendship and alliance with Rachel, who she wants to see win the game, the bold moves she would’ve made as HOH, and a crucial moment from before the live feeds were turned on that viewers didn’t see.

Big Brother 27 Houseguest Amy Bingham Didn’t Trust Jimmy Heagerty

Jimmy Nominated Amy For Eviction

ScreenRant: I can’t believe those weenies voted you out!

Amy Bingham: I know! The weenies! It was such a petty move. It had nothing to do with strategy with Jimmy. It’s just he wanted me out. He knew I thought he was a liar. He didn’t trust me. I didn’t trust him.

Amy Was Excited To Meet Derrick Levasseur & Taylor Hale On Big Brother: Unlocked

Amy Thinks Derrick & Taylor Are Big Brother Icons

ScreenRant: After the show, you got to be a guest on Big Brother: Unlocked. Did they tell you about that ahead of time or was it a surprise to you that you got to be on another show?

Amy: Oh, no, I didn’t know till after. Yeah, I found out right after I was out.

ScreenRant: So what was it like to be on there with Derrick and Taylor?

Amy: So nice to meet them. Oh my gosh. They’re like icons too, you know, like Rachel. So, I mean, they won the show. I mean, Rachel’s the icon of Big Brother. Like, she’s the face of Big Brother. But it was so nice to meet them. They were lovely to talk to.

Amy Understood Why Rachel Reilly & Ashley Hollis Voted To Evict Her

Amy Trusted Rachel & Amy Completely

ScreenRant: Let’s talk about Rachel. Why do you think Rachel and Ashley voted you out if they were aligned with you?

Amy: They had to protect themselves. At that point, honestly, I don’t care about a vote. Like, I’m out of the game anyway. With a vote or two it’s not going to help. The only reason I would have wanted them to vote for me is if it was going to help me stay at all. But if not, just vote with the house. Save yourself. I’m out of the game. Do what you need to do.

ScreenRant: You must have really trusted them because you told them that you told them that you were the Accomplice.

Amy: So much. I trusted them so much with my life in the game. Like those are my besties forever, in and out of the house. I love them so much.

Amy Was A Fan Of Rachel Reilly Before Big Brother 27

Amy Would’ve Campaigned To Keep Rachel In The House

ScreenRant: Were you a Rachel Reilly fan before the show?

Amy: So I did like Rachel. I love Rachel, but I was trying to think back to her gameplay. So, my son and I, about six years ago, we had binge-watched ten seasons of the show in about six months time span. So I was trying to remember. Like when she came in, I was like, was she loyal to just Brendon? Was she loyal to other people? I was trying to remember her as a person and her loyalty. And so I couldn’t quite remember exactly, but I knew it in the moments I was with her, like, I love her to death. I felt like she was loyal for sure.

It’s just then there were moments she would talk to Jimmy sometimes in the show and got kind of close with him, who I couldn’t stand. And then Keanu. And then Morgan [Pope] … she had moments with those other people in the house. So I was wondering if I was like her number one after all. Like it made me kind of question, and you don’t really know where they’re at. It’s Big Brother. But I felt like I was her number one, but I wasn’t sure. So then I had me questioning – BB paranoia. You know, like, “Am I really her number one? I think I am. She’s mine. But am I hers?”

And then I didn’t know how much she campaigned for me after until I left the house, and I was like, “Oh my gosh.” I would have done the same for her, though, if she was on the block. I would absolutely be campaigning to keep her in the house because we needed each other in the house, both of us. But I didn’t get that opportunity. She was never put up, and it never happened. But I didn’t know how much she campaigned for me after, and I’m like, “Oh my gosh, I love her even more. I just adore her.”

Amy Didn’t Know That Rachel Wasn’t Going To Vote For Her To Stay

Amy Still Hopes Rachel Wins Big Brother 27

ScreenRant: Did you see last night’s episode?

Amy: No, I’ve only watched one, the very first episode of the season so far. I haven’t gone back and watched. It’s been a whirlwind.

Well, they showed Rachel’s reaction to voting you out. And she was crying and talking about how terrible she felt that she voted you out. She actually was like, “Why did I do that?”

Amy: Oh. She didn’t tell me she wasn’t going to vote for me, so when I saw the 13-0, I was a little shocked because she told me she was going to before, like the day before or something. She’s like, ‘I’m gonna vote for you no matter what.’ And I knew with Will I was going out 100%. That was the verdict. Like no campaigning needed. Like he was staying in. Adrian, it was maybe 50/50. But like they were leaning towards Adrian a lot of times. It was just kind of one of those things.

ScreenRant: I think that the friendship was genuine based on what she said on the episode.

Amy: Oh yeah. I adore and I love Rachel. Oh my gosh. That was my girl till the end. I’m praying her and Ashley make the win. She can be the two-time winner. Ashley can be a first-time winner. I don’t care at this point, like win the show. But these girls need to be the winner. Like, I don’t care. I love Rachel though. So much, so much. She’s such a loyal, honest friend. She’s a really good friend too. And I really appreciate her and just playing with her is iconic. Like, what a legend.

ScreenRant: I know. That was awesome that you got the chance to do that. She’s one of my favorites too.

Amy: So grateful.

Amy Is A Fan Of Some Other Big Brother Legends

Amy Admires Many Icons Of The Game

ScreenRant: So who are some of your other all-time favorite Big Brother players?

Amy: I love Chelsie [Baham]. I just love her. I would say I love Derrick too. Never on the block. I bought his book. I read it, you know? So I was a big Derrick fan. So that was actually really fun to see him. Janelle [Pierzina]. I love Janelle. She is fun to watch. Like, love Janelle. Yeah. Those are my favorites. Dan [Gheesling]. I love Dan too. He played a good game. Like, really good game.

Amy Thinks Current Head Of Household (HOH) Lauren Domingue Is Playing It Safe

Amy Would’ve Made Big Moves If She Won HOHLauren Domingue's Big Brother 27 headshot against a gray background.

ScreenRant: What do you think about Lauren Domingue now winning HOH?

Amy: I mean, she put up the same people I thought she would put up [Keanu Soto, Kelley Jorgensen, and Will Williams]. The people that had already been on the block. That was pretty predictable, you know. I mean, I don’t know if she’s going to be playing her game or someone else’s game, but I worry about that a little bit. I would have wanted to make some big moves. I didn’t care about blood on my hands. Like, let me shake some stuff up in this house. But I don’t think she wants to do that.

ScreenRant: Yeah, she seems to be playing it very safe. So we’ll see what happens.

Amy: Very safe, yeah.

Amy Is Rooting For Two People To Win Big Brother 27

Amy Also Thinks Some Other Houseguests Have A Chance

ScreenRant: Who do you think will win and who do you think should win?

Amy: I pray Rachel or Ashley win. I don’t care about anybody else, honestly. Vinny I think is playing a very good game though. Mickey [Lee] and Morgan are playing a good game, but I just hope that they don’t go at it with each other. I don’t know. I hope there’s no division between them. I love them. But Vinny’s playing a very good game. I just want Rachel and Ashley, period. Like to the end, I want them to win. I don’t care who.

Amy Revealed What Happened Before The Live Feeds Were Turned On That Prevented Her From Starting The All-Women Alliance She Wanted

Amy Wasn’t Really Targeted Because Of Showergate

ScreenRant: You wanted to start an all-women alliance, and it never seems to come together. Why did you want to do that? And why do you think it can never work?

Amy: I’m a girls’ girl. Like I’m all for the girls all the time. All the time in real life. In the game. Like I want the girls to win. I’m such a rider for my girls. And I just feel like women can work together. We can be so powerful if we work together instead of against each other. Like, why do we do that to ourselves? It doesn’t make sense to me. And I really wanted to do that in this show, but you just can’t. You can’t work with every woman. They don’t want to. You know, they don’t want to do that. And they won’t do that. So it’s just kind of hard to make it happen.

I think with certain women in the house, I would have been able to get that going, but I became targeted initially. Like the first five days with no live feeds didn’t show what was happening in that house. So I don’t know, I wish I stayed longer and got to play.

ScreenRant: Can you elaborate a bit about that?

Amy: Oh, just for me, in the first five days, it was just so many talks of the reason I was considered for the block was because of my connection and friendship with Rachel. It wasn’t about Showergate until after. Like that came later. But first, for me, it was like I was going on the block because of my friendship with Rachel, because she was safe that first week. And so then closest to her would be me. And so that’s what I was being told in the house. That’s all I knew. Like, oh my gosh, you know, it kind of sucks. It’s just what it is.

That’s definitely not why I left the house. I left the house because of my comment to Vinny about Jimmy being a dummy. But that was my own gameplay. It’s unfortunate, like I love … I don’t know. I wouldn’t change anything, so I don’t even know what to say. Like that was my game and it sucked, kind of. You know, I’m not the best game player. I’m bad at comps too. But, in other ways, I would have loved to be in the house and played with Rachel, and really done something strong because I feel like we’re both strong women, and we could’ve flipped that house upside down had I been able to stay. I would have loved to do that. Loved.

Amy Would Never Have Turned On Rachel

Amy & Rachel Are Real Friends

ScreenRant: I mean, you say you “sucked” at the game, but I think that staying loyal is a big move in itself. I mean, you could have easily turned on Rachel and tried to flip the house against her to save yourself, and you didn’t do that.

Amy: Never.

ScreenRant: So I think was a big move and, I like that kind of gameplay the best. Where people are bold, and your alliance is just out there. You’re not trying to hide anything.

Amy: Yeah, there was nothing to hide. I was never gonna go against Rachel, ever. Period. The whole game. Like we were riding. Till the end. So I was never going to go against her. She was never going to go against me. I trusted her so much. Like with everything. I told her and Ashley I was the Accomplice because I trusted them that much. They could have blown up my game with that. But I knew they wouldn’t because we were real friends. We ARE real friends.

ScreenRant: Right. And that was really nice to see on the show. Refreshing to see on the show.

Amy: Good, I love that. Yeah. No, I adore them both so much. I’m a girls’ girl. I always ride for my girls. I’m loyal. I’m honest to a fault. It’s probably a problem. I can’t help it.

ScreenRant: Well, I think it’s a great way to be.

Amy: Thank you. I appreciate that.
