Meet Mr. Timmy, the angel who walked into my office. He stopped by a week ago, asking if I could help him with extreme low back pain that was shooting down his leg. He inquired about the prices and scheduled an appointment for this week, mentioning he needed time to gather the money.

On Wednesday, he arrived 30 minutes early for his appointment. From the moment he walked in, he was beyond kind and respectful, responding to everything I said or asked with a polite “yes, ma’am” or “no, ma’am.” His demeanor filled my heart with joy and happiness just being in the same room with him.

As we chatted, he shared that he had been in pain for three years and had been turned away multiple times because he didn’t have insurance or the money to pay. Despite his obvious pain, I didn’t realize just how severe it was until I asked him to lie down on the table. As he did, tears began streaming down his face, and he moaned in excruciating pain. He apologized for crying, but I reassured him there was no need to apologize and handed him a tissue. At that moment, I felt God speaking to me, and I prayed, asking Him to use my hands to help heal this man.

I began adjusting him. At first, he moaned with each drop of the table, his tears now flowing uncontrollably from the pain, but he insisted I continue if it would help. Slowly, the pain began to subside, and he started to feel some relief. I then connected him to the electrical stimulation machine and encouraged him to relax. When I returned, he said, “Oh my goodness…this is the best I’ve felt in three years. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

When he stood up, he realized he could stand straight for the first time in three years. Three years. His tears of pain turned into tears of relief and gratitude. I could no longer hold back my own tears. We hugged, and I felt the Holy Spirit fill the office even more.

When we walked to the front desk, he asked when I wanted to see him again. I suggested the next day (today), and he immediately asked how much it would cost, explaining that he’d find a way to gather the money. Instead, I handed him back his payment and told him not to worry about it. He looked confused. I explained that God was speaking to me so strongly and that I wanted to bless him. I told him to save the money for food and assured him I just wanted to help. At that moment, he broke down, sobbing uncontrollably. I gave him a big hug as I cried too. He told me I couldn’t possibly know how much this meant to him and promised to find a way to repay me. I told him not to worry about paying me and that hugs would be enough. He was in pure disbelief, and we were all crying. We all felt the power of that God moment.

Today, he returned with a huge smile and a little spring in his step. He was so happy, and I could tell he was on the road to recovery. His smile lit up my whole heart. We had prepared a box of snacks, a gift card for Subway, and a heartfelt card for him. When we gave it to him, he began crying again, thanking us over and over. He gave me several hugs, unable to believe the love and kindness we had shown him after being dismissed by so many others.

Since then, I haven’t stopped thinking about him or praying for him.

With tears in my eyes as I write this, I share this story to remind you: You never know what form an angel may take, but I promise you, Mr. Timmy is an angel to me. You never know what someone is going through until you ask. You never know what a difference you might make in someone’s life, but I can tell you this—Mr. Timmy blessed me far more than I blessed him. With all the evil in the world, there is still good. All you have to do is open your heart and share love.
