🎀 FINAL CHEMO DONE 👊🏼🎉
.
Hip hip hooray – today’s the day!
My last chemo session 🙌🏼. After three months of weekly treatments, each lasting anywhere from 3 to 6 hours, I finally get to say goodbye to chemo drugs, goodbye to the awful side effects, and goodbye to that freezing scalp cooling cap. I DID IT. I honestly can’t believe it.
.
Thank you to my amazing family and friends who have stood by me through these wild 12 weeks – your support and love meant everything. And thank you to my A-Team who drove me to chemo every week, dropped me off, and picked me up (because of course I’d get cancer during a global pandemic 🙄). Today I’m walking into my final chemo filled with love and happiness, confident that I’ll be okay. Even though I tried to downplay how bad the side effects were, this journey has been CRAZY 😂. Thank you to everyone who accepted me as I tackled cancer in my own way. Thank you for letting me just be me.
.
If someone told me on New Year’s Eve that in 2020 I’d lose my colon to a total colectomy, get diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, AND face a global pandemic, I would have asked what they were drinking – and if I could have a glass too! To think it’s only June 🤦🏼‍♀️. Next up: surgery and radiation. Time to smash more goals and keep fighting this little f&$@er… if there’s anything left of him 😉. Rumour has it some ‘official’ good news might be coming soon 🥳.

Cancer is brutal and it spares no one. So please, keep checking your boobs, everyone! 💗
