Annie explained that the doctor examined Minthira’s lungs and said there was very little phlegm in the baby’s chest. “She said she sounds better than on other days,” Annie added.
“Maybe tonight, take out one more time and if she keep[s] going like this, then tomorrow we might have to leave the hospital.”
RSV can cause excess mucus or phlegm in the chest, but the virus itself is not directly removed from the chest. Treatment focuses on managing symptoms and helping the body clear the mucus.
