counterfeit money received from cash order.
tell me it’s my fault for taking a cash order all you want, i haven’t had any trouble with them before now. this was a pizza hut order for $34.48, only 3 miles away and base pay was $9.25.
when i get to the house, the door is open and there’s a woman sitting across the doorframe. she has foil and magazines and lighters spread out across the floor, which i try to ignore because what do i do? contact useless dasher support? it takes her 5 or 6 minutes of counting, recounting, being yelled at by others in the house to just “give me the damn money,” all of them keep zoning out and forgetting im even there (i had to shout at the woman 3 feet in front of me for her to notice me to begin with). she FINALLY hands me a $10 and five $5s, which is $35, we’re good and i get the fuck out of there. i was shaking after leaving the house, incredibly thrown off, and when i get a chance to pause i realize this woman gave me counterfeit money!!! it looks weird and i should’ve noticed, but i honestly thought it was dirty and i was not inspecting it i got the fuck out of there as soon as possible because i felt unsafe. i didn’t even count the money because i watched her count it in front of me, in slow motion, FOUR TIMES. so now i have $35 worth of counterfeit money that doordash is going to deduct from my weekly earnings π yay
im in contact with support and they are incredibly unhelpful as i expected/feared, but im supposed to get a “call from a supervisor” within 24 hours. my hopes are low.
