I crocheted 4 blankets in one year for each of my bridesmaids.I got married yesterday, and as my gift to my four bridesmaids, I spent the past year crocheting each of them a blanket. Iβve crocheted since my mom taught me when I was 11 and have made blankets before, but Iβve been lucky to finish one in 6 months.
I crocheted on planes, during Zoom calls, at work conferences, in front of the tv, and wherever else I could take them for the last 12 months and had the big surprise reveal after my husband and I had our first look yesterday. Just wanted to brag here π
The vast majority were made from the yarn I got from a massive estate sale-$40 for like 100+ skeins. So to the crafter in the sky who also made this happen, thank you!
From left to right: sun and moon motifs stitched together, a 5 day star blanket (did not take 5 days lol), that random pattern Iβve seen online for years where you sew all different sizes of granny squares together, and a retro inspired chevron.
I think my next goal is to crochet something for the state fair, but for now, I am resting my hands for a bit!
